Product Engineer I

Position Summary: Reviews project specifications, product design, customer requirements and performance standards. Provides technical support for the development of projects. Product Engineering assists in the implementation and changes of the product manufacturing process through the current ERP/QT9 production software modules. Identifies and implements processes that support the overall project task assigned. Provides support to Program Management, Product Design, Process Engineering, Quality and Equipment Maintenance. Utilizes statistics, capability tools, tolerances and data analysis to assist product development.

Position Responsibilities:
• Drives Program Management projects to ensure projects achieve cost and time frame objectives.
• Provide assistance with Process Engineering and Product Design projects that require additional/specialized project resources.
• Assists and directs the implementation of product documentation as controlled by QT9 quality software module. ECR, ECN, DCR as required.
• Supports and directs the implementation of work orders as controlled by the ERP manufacturing software module. Engineering masters, BOM, part ID as required.
• Assists with the qualification of manufacturing equipment in association with Quality, Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering functions as required by the project.
• Works cooperatively with Program Management to produce new products and/or research samples.
• Write qualification documents and work instructions.
• Author specifications for manufacturing, testing and inspection equipment/tooling/fixtures.
• Communicates with customers and/or vendors to support the design process.
• Identifies and implements new process improvements.
• Willingness to execute other assigned responsibilities as necessary to assist Conductive Technologies in meeting its goals and objectives.
• Complies with all corporate policies and departmental procedures.
• Protect Conductive Technologies’ and customers’ confidentiality.

• Ability to read and create engineering drawings.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

Education:
• Minimum B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline.

Desired Experience
• Experience with Medical Devices
• AutoCAD/Solidworks
• Basic understanding of screen printing and converting processes
• Experience with lean manufacturing and six-sigma methodology.
